The Cluj Public Health department (Directia de Sanatate Publica a Judetului Cluj) has issued a notification with reference to people travelling from the Italian areas affected with Coronavirus.


As of February 24, 2020, persons returning to the country less than 14 days after a trip to northern Italy , especially the Lombardy and Veneto regions, must stay home for self-isolation for up to 14 days and avoid any contact with other persons. .

In case the trip to Romania was made by means of transport other than air travel , the persons concerned have the obligation to download from the website of the Public Health Directorate of Cluj County the questionnaire in order to complete with the personal and contact data (the data will be used in compliance with the law of confidentiality of personal data). The completed questionnaire will be sent urgently to the e-mail addresses: and .

During this time it is recommended to measure the temperature twice daily and to monitor the respiratory symptoms.

If symptoms occur within this range, such as:

  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Dry Cough

The person is obliged to call the emergency service 112, to inform that he / she has arrived from the risk area with the new coronavirus and to request transport to the Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases Cluj-Napoca.
