2024 Olympic Games: Medal standings after day five – Romania, on the 19th

China is the new medal leader at the Paris Olympics after Wednesday’s races, the fifth official day of competition, while Romania is on 17th, after the gold won by swimmer David Popovici in the 200m freestyle on Monday and the bronze won on Wednesday in the 100 m freestyle.

China has 9 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals, followed by France (9-10-8) and Japan (8-3-4), the former leader, as noted by Agerpres.
