Nepalese mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa reached the summit of Everest (8,849 meters) for the 30th time, breaking her own record. “Your unwavering faith in me fuels my ascent,” the climber relayed.

“Kami Rita reached the summit this morning (no: Wednesday, May 22, 2023). He set a new record of 30 ascents on Everest.” Mingma Sherpa of Seven Summit Treks told AFP.
Kami Rita Sherpa has been a mountain guide for over 20 years and first climbed Mount Everest at an altitude of 8,849 meters in 1994.

The Nepalese mountaineer has several other 8,000-meter peaks under his belt, including K2 in Pakistan, the second highest mountain in the world.
