The general mayor of the Capital, Nicusor Dan, supported by the United Right Alliance for a new mandate, is in first place in the voting intentions of the citizens of Bucharest, with 31% of the options, followed by PSD senator Gabriela Firea with 26%, according to a survey made by Sociopol.

According to the most recent survey regarding the elections for the Capital City Hall, carried out by the Sociopol company, Nicușor Dan, supported by the United Right Alliance, is in first place in terms of voting intention, with 31%, followed by the PSD candidate, Gabriela Firea, with 26%. and in third place by PNL candidate Sebastian Burduja, with 16%.
The next ranked are the PUSL candidate, Cristian Popescu Piedone, with 15%, the AUR candidate, Mihai Enache, with 7% and the SOS Romania candidate, Diana Șoșoacă with 3%. The candidate supported by PER, Alexandru Pânișoara and the candidate supported by AD, Dorin Iacob have 1%, and the independent candidate Filip Titian 0%.

Ask “If local elections were held next Sunday, how interested would you be in these elections”, 59% of respondents answered “very interested”, 22% “fairly interested”, 10% “very little/not at all interested”, and 8% “fairly uninterested”. 1% is the non-response rate.

The survey also estimated voter turnout. Thus, 45% “will go to vote, they are decided with whom to vote”, 16% “will go to vote, but are undecided with whom to vote”, while 27% “will not go to vote”, and 12 “don't I'm in the country”.

Methodology
The survey was conducted between May 23 and 28, 2024, on a sample of 1,005 people, using the telephone interview method (CATI). Sample type: stratified with probabilistic selection of people (simple random). The sample is representative of the non-institutionalized adult population of Bucharest. The maximum sampling error, at a 95% confidence level, is +/- 3.2%.
The current survey shows some variations compared to the previous Sociopol survey, noting a decrease of six percentage points for the candidate Nicușor Dan, who had 37% of voting intentions in the previous survey, while in the case of Gabriela Firea, who had in the previous survey 23% of the options, there is an increase of 3%. Sebastian Burduja moved to 3rd place, registering a stagnation, 16% of voting intentions, and Cristian Popescu Piedone decreased by 3 percentage points, reaching fourth place.
