8 days after the death of the late actress Ileana Stana Ionescu, her lifeless body was cremated, according to her last wish.
Her husband, the actor Andrei Ionescu, 96 years old, could barely speak of the pain caused by the final separation from the one who was his life partner for 70 years.

“It’s hard, but God gave me strength! Today she was cremated, then the urn with ashes will be deposited in the crematorium cemetery, we have a box there. Andrei Ionescu regrets that he didn’t get to say goodbye to his Ileana.
“She died in her sleep, we didn’t have time to say anything to each other, to say goodbye. Anyway, he didn’t even recognize me anymore, he had suffered some strokes. She died serenely, she had such a serene face… I dressed her in a gorgeous white dress that she loved so much but never got around to wearing.
