Colbert had a career spanning several decades, from the late 1970s to 2015, but was best known for her 67-episode run on the hit series “Dallas” from CBS. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Colbert was the show’s only recurring black character, turning a minor role into a memorable one. As the posh figure of the Oil Baron’s Club, the character Dora Mae, played by Pat Colbert, shared the screen with members of the main Ewing family, portrayed by Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray, among others.
The actress appeared on “Dallas” from 1983 to 1991, according to IMDB. Prior to the Emmy Award-winning series, Colbert had minor roles in “Flamingo Road,” “Capitol,” “The Fall Guy” and “Knots Landing.” After the role of Dora Mae, Colbert appeared in the series “Sisters” and “True Colors”.

Sandra Patricia Colbert was born on January 16, 1947, in Los Angeles, but lived most of her life in Compton. Her father, LeRoy, worked in construction and her mother, Eula, worked in foster care. As a child, Pat Colbert was also interested in fashion and modeling.
Inspired by their mother, Colbert worked with her sister and used her Hollywood connections to organize film screenings — including some at theaters in Westwood — for her adopted community, Tami said.
“We’d gather a bunch of kids and some of their foster parents and go and do screenings for movies that hadn’t been released yet.”, Tami said. “It was interesting”.
Tami said that the actress has also worked with “celebrities and friends he knew” to make it possible for adopted children to watch a golf tournament.
For Tami, Colbert should be remembered “as a person with initiative”.
In addition to Tami, Colbert has an older sister, Johnetta Driscoll, a brother, Aaron Colbert, a son, Michael, and nephews and nieces. The family has scheduled a wake and funeral service for next week.
