If the presidential elections were held today, who would Romanians vote for? Where is Elena Lasconi?

The results of the latest opinion poll, carried out by CURS between July 18 and 26, 2024, show Romanians’ voting intention, according to antena3.ro.

The respondents were asked with whom they would vote in the presidential elections, if they were to take place now, being polled several political leaders of the moment, such as Marcel Ciolacu, Nicolae Ciucă, George Simion, Mircea Geoană, Elena Lasconi or Diana Șoșoacă.

According to the survey, Marcel Ciolacu and Nicolae Ciucă occupy the first two places in the top of Romanians’ preferences, with 31% of the votes and 29%, respectively.

Mircea Geoană appears in the CURS survey in 3rd place, with 15% of the votes, tied with the AUR leader, George Simion, in 4th place.

With 12% of the total votes, Elena Lasconi is in 5th place, and Diana Şoșoacă is in 6th place, with 4% of the votes.

“Regarding the parliamentary elections, the survey shows that the most votes would go to the PSD, precisely 33%, and the PNL, 23%. In third place is AUR, with 16%, and in fourth place, Alianța Dreapta Unită, with 13% of the votes. Romanians believe that low incomes are the biggest problem facing our country, followed by corruption, problems in the health system and the inflation rate”, write antena3.ro.

The face-to-face survey included a sample of 1067 respondents, voters aged 18 and over. The maximum margin of error at the η level is +/-3% at a 95% confidence level.
