The 8th grade graduates will find out on Wednesday the high schools where they will study in the next four years. The results of the 2024 computerized distribution were made public on the official website admitere.edu.ro and will also be displayed in secondary education units.

UPDATE 5:00 p.m. The Ministry of Education published the list with the number of free places left after the 2024 computerized high school distribution. The most places left are in Bucharest, 479 places, Galați county, 307 places and Suceava, 295 places. At the national level, the total number of free places left is 6,961, 111,960 students have been assigned to high school and there are 1,607 unassigned students (1.4%).
The counties with the most vacant seats left after distribution are the following:
- Bucharest – 479;
- Galatians – 307;
- Suceava – 295;
- Arges – 294;
- Mures – 293;
- Bihor – 279;
- Ilfov – 274;
At the opposite pole is Constanța county where there is no vacancy left and 334 candidates remain unassigned, the most in the country.
UPDATE 12.00. The computerized distribution in the 9th grade was published on the website of the Ministry of Education.
Between July 11 and 22, 2024, students and their parents filled in the enrollment applications in which they indicated the options regarding high schools. The options were taken into account in the process of allocating places in the high schools desired by the students, taking into account the average obtained in the National Assessment and the number of available places.
High school admissions calendar 2024
July 24, 2024: Computerized allotment of candidates will be conducted. The distribution results will be published on admitere.edu.ro and displayed in the secondary education units, where the lists of unoccupied places in the high schools in the county and the city of Bucharest will also be available.
July 25 – 30, 2024: Candidates must submit the application files to the high schools where they have been assigned. Each high school will publish the opening hours for receiving applications, and students must meet the deadlines to confirm their place.
30 July 2024: Secondary education institutions will report the places left vacant after admitted candidates have not registered in this admission stage.
July 31 – August 2, 2024: The Bucharest county/municipality admissions commission will resolve the special situations arising after the computerized distribution stage.
The second stage of admission will begin on 2 August 2024. At this stage, the remaining vacancies will be displayed and applicants from the current batch, as well as those from previous batches who will not turn 18 by the start of the 2024-2025 school year, will had the opportunity to enroll in high schools with available places.
