The Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, the best economic, business and public administration university in South-Eastern Europe, announces that it has successfully completed the July session of its admission competition and that in the new academic year it will have over 8500 students in the first year of the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs.
The information and admission conditions for the autumn session have been published on the institutional website www.ase.ro. The offer of proposed places for all study programs can be found on all the university’s information channels: www.ase.ro, facebook and instagram.
Enrollment to BA university programs takes place online from August 30 to September 2, 2024. The Admissions Calendar can be consulted on the Bachelor Admissions page, where candidates can study the curricula and subject sheets, so that they know when formulating their options , which subjects are studied and what is their content for each individual program. For the programs within the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics (CSIE) and the Faculty of Law, candidates take a written exam.
Thus, candidates formulating options for undergraduate university study programs at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics will take a written exam, which consists of a grid test, in the discipline of Mathematics, based on the topic displayed on the university’s website . At the Faculty of Law, admission is based on a written exam, which consists of a grid test in the subjects of Romanian Language and Economics, according to the competition theme presented on the website. Candidates for the CSIE and/or Law faculties can, during the registration process, choose options for any other undergraduate university programs offered by ASE.
The admission competition for the other faculties consists of:
- the language proficiency test, for candidates for a program with teaching in a foreign language, or for the “Modern Applied Languages (English, French)” program, who do not have a language proficiency certificate recognized by ASE;
- the general admission average, calculated as a weighted average between the average obtained in the baccalaureate exam (70%) and the average of the years of high school studies (30%).

Registration for MASTER university programs takes place online between August 30 and September 2, 2024. All competition documents will be uploaded to the ASE platform dedicated to Admission, which will be accessed via ase.ro/admitere/masteratt, selecting the options for the study programs chosen. The offer of places for the September session for university master’s programs in Romanian, English, French or German can also be consulted here. Candidates have detailed information available on the institutional page ase.ro/admitere/masterat, Facebook and Instagram. The ASE library provides the bibliographic material in digital format for the admission exam to the 2024 master’s programs, according to the competition theme and bibliography. The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies received the right to conduct doctorates and award the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences over a century ago, since 1921. ASE is proud of the quality of its doctoral schools, this year marking 100 years from the defense of the first doctoral thesis in ASE.
ASE organizes a competition for DOCTORATE university programs in the September session as well. Registration takes place online between September 4-6 this year. Candidates will upload the competition documents on the doctorat.ase.ro page. ASE organizes 11 doctoral programs, in the fundamental fields of Economic Sciences and Law.
