USR President, Elena Lasconi, met, last week, with the ambassador of Ukraine in Bucharest, HE Ihor Prokopchuk. The discussion focused on supporting Ukraine, which continues to defend itself against Putin’s armies.

“We will support Ukraine, as long as it takes, against dictator Putin and the illegal and unprovoked invasion of February 2022. This was my message to HE the ambassador of Ukraine in Bucharest, Mr. Ihor Prokopchuk”Lasconi sent on his Facebook page.
According to the USR president, Romania is among the democratic countries that support the current international system, based on law and predictability.
“Our support is not a favor shown to Ukraine, but an investment in our security. We don’t want Russia on Romania’s border”Lasconi also conveyed, adding that the USR, like the Romanian people, strongly supports the granting of military, economic and diplomatic support to the neighboring country.
“We hope that the war will end as soon as possible, in the terms desired by Ukraine, and that together we will rebuild peace and security in the region”she concluded.
