TikTok has started to implement support for discussions between up to 32 people, through the internal communication function, according to News.ro

The chat function within the social media platform allowed, until now, users to communicate only one to one.

Expanding chat groups to 32 people is an important step because it can turn TikTok into a serious competitor for traditional chat apps, given the popularity of the social platform.

How newsgroups can be started

Discussion groups on TikTok can be initiated in several ways.

One of these is selecting multiple people when starting a new chat.

The group can also be created when using the Share function to send content to several people at once.

TikTok Group Rules

Minors under the age of 15 do not have access to discussion groups on TikTok, and those who are 16 or 17 years old can only participate in a group if they know at least one person.

Only people with whom there is a mutual following can be added to the discussion group, and invitations to join can be found in the Inbox.
