The arrival of Tom Cruise on stage was not planned by Thomas Jolly, the director of this closing ceremony organized at the Stade de France. He even explained that he let the Hollywood star do what he wanted.
“He was completely independent in terms of creation,” he explained to BFMTV. “He could do whatever he wanted to reproduce the color of Los Angeles. It was like an invitation to us, because there is our set, our light and sound installation… So there was a synergy”.
