Rapid’s curse continues even after the derby with Dinamo. The only team without a win this season

Rapid is not found this season either, after in the playoffs of the last championship he achieved a win and a draw (both with FCSB), in 10 games. Giulești did not know the taste of success even in the 6 stages of the current season, bringing the supporters to despair. Last night, under the Grant Bridge, the Cherries ended the derby with Dinamo in a draw, 1-1.

Coach Neil Lennon’s days are numbered at Rapid, after the Scot installed at the beginning of the championship failed to bring satisfaction to Giulesti even after this round. After the boss Dan Șucu’s ultimatum, the Briton has two more games, with Poli Iasi (August 23) and with Craiova University (August 31), to radically improve the results and save his job.

Things went somewhat well in the meeting with Dinamo. Claudiu Petrila opened the scoring, from the penalty, in the 53rd minute, after a handball committed by Kennedy Boateng in the box, during a duel with Luka Gojkovic. The penalty kick was awarded following referral to the video referee. But 10 minutes before the end, the Kosovar Astrit Selmani restored the tie, also from a penalty indicated by the VAR camera.

Quick, the only team without a win this season

Until then, Rapid had a goal in the first half, through Gojkovic (44), and in the second half Petrila was blocked in extremis by goalkeeper Adnan Golubovic (74). Dinamo had good opportunities through Selmani (57) and Ahmed Bani (65), whose shot from the box was saved by Siegrist.

Giulești reached five draws and one failure this season, being the only team in the Superliga that did not achieve even one victory.

In min. 58 there was an incident at the reserve bench of the Rapid team, as a result of which Dynamo defender Maxime Sivis was chosen with a torn shirt: Cristian Săpunaru, Filip Blazek (reserves at Rapid), Bani and Sivis received yellow cards.
