Robert Lukian, the young man who performed on the talent show Vocea României and turned all the chairs in just a few seconds, was raised in Sweden, but he is originally Romanian.

The grandmother of the young man who made a show on Vocea României, Romanian, emigrated to Sweden when his mother was 7 years old, during the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu. She was able to leave because she had a cousin settled in Sweden.
The boy prodigy started singing from the age of about three, and at the age of 7, his father insisted that he also start playing the piano.
Robert Lukian graduated from high school for chefs, and then began to combine rock music with gastronomy. The young man was a waiter and singer for 5 years in Stockholm, and then moved to Denmark and continued to do the same, participating in several cooking shows.
Robert speaks Romanian very well because he was raised by “mamaie”.
Robert took up music, being inspired by his father who in his youth played in a restaurant. He taught him the first chords on the piano.
The coaches really liked Robert, and all the seats were turned within moments of his moment starting.
“You broke bro! What you have is great, it’s been put aside, but wouldn’t it be interesting to have your voice heard in a different way? Because the way your voice sounds, it deserves the chance to be heard on something you never thought you could sing!”, said Tudor Chirilă about the young man’s moment.
At the same time, Smiley said “you are exactly on my soul! If you don’t come to me, I pass out… I’m leaving the show! I don’t think I’ve heard anyone sing in the hall you sang in the 12 seasons I’ve been here. Fantastic! Welcome to Romania! (…) So if you don’t come to me in the team, I’m rolling on the floor. (…) I would like a voice like yours to win the Voice of Romania!”, iar Horia Brenciu invited him to sing with his band.
At the end of the day, after listening to all the coaches, Robert Lukian chose Smiley.
The young man went through a radical transformation
Robert managed to lose about 42 kilograms in six months with the help of a gastric balloon. He admits that he tends to eat emotionally. He currently attends the gym four times a week.
The contestant confessed that at one point he had reached 130 kilograms and it was difficult for him to stay on stage. “It’s a little more complicated to succeed when you have a few extra kilos“, he said during the testimonials.
His father encouraged him to participate in the blind auditions at Vocea României. Robert chose to perform the song “Emotions” by Mariah Carey.
