The real estate market in Romania is getting more expensive every day, and the most expensive properties are found in Cluj. Therefore, the average price of a home here has reached almost 3,000 euros per square meter (real estate index 2,812 €/sqm, according to imobiliare.ro.) This means that, on average, an apartment in Cluj costs almost twice as much as in other similar cities (in Constanța, for example, the same index is 1,666 euros / sq m, and in Timișoara it is 1,640 euros / sq m). In Bucharest, the same real estate index for the last month in which it was calculated, August, is 1,776 euros / sq m.
Not by chance, much more expensive houses and apartments are sold in Cluj. In recent years, villas have been sold here for prices between 2 and 3 million euros. And the prices keep going up.
In this landscape, an apartment on one of the last two floors of the highest building in Cluj and at the same time in the country costs 800,000 euros without VAT, that is, approximately one million euros. The penthouse apartments are located on the 24th and 25th floors, almost 100 meters away, and the view is special. At the same time, gorgeous medieval castles can be bought in France for less than €800,000. This is also the case of a castle in the south-west of France, in the Aquitaine region, at Bérenx, which sells for 790,000 euros. The castle also has a more generous area of park, 4 hectares.

And if these castles seem expensive, although a house in Cluj frequently costs over 800,000 ruro, there are also some castles at the price of an apartment in a block. This is the case of a small and chic castle in Clermont-Dessous, which sells for 376,000 euros. For this money or even more, there are enough apartments in the block, in Cluj, but even in Bucharest. We are talking about apartments that reach 4,500 euros / square meter or even more, as can be seen on the website of the real estate portal Storia.
