Emma Răducanu withdrew from the Korea Open quarterfinals due to a left leg injury after losing the first set 6-1 to top favorite Daria Kasatkina.
Răducanu had shown promising signs during her two tournament wins, fighting hard to beat top-50 players Peyton Stearns and Yue Yuan on her way to a last-16 showdown with the top seed.
The 21-year-old received treatment on her leg during her win against Yuan but was given an extra day to recover before her clash with Kasatkina.
However, Emma had to withdraw, following a new injury.
