Villa Nufărul, separated from the Neptun resort by a forest supervised by SPP, is adjacent to the protocol villas intended for the prime minister, the president of the Senate and the president of the Chamber of Deputies. Among the amenities of the villa used by President Klaus Iohannis is an ultra-modern swimming pool, built after 2019, a greenhouse with exotic plants, a tennis court and a private beach clad with stone treated so that it does not heat up under the action of the sun’s rays.

In April 2008, on the occasion of the NATO summit in Bucharest, George W. Bush spent several days in Romania. And the American leader was invited to Neptun by Traian Băsescu, the then president of Romania, at an unprecedented press conference, held right on the seashore, on April 2, 2008.
