Former Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă claims that less than 3% of the European funds available to Romania have been drawn from the current 2021-2027 exercise.

Nicolae Ciucă specified that the PNL was the party that, being in government, attracted the most European funds.
“There are a whole series of lessons that we learned, each of us, both in terms of administration at the local level, governance at the central leadership level, including our behavior and attitude within a coalition, we learned a lot in this period. (…) The National Liberal Party was the one that achieved the greatest absorption of European funds when it was in government and attracted the most foreign funds. This is not what I wanted to highlight, but to tell you the fact that, unfortunately, at the current moment, from 2021-2027 not even 3% absorbed and we are about halfway there. Only next year we will not get close to 2027″said Nicolae Ciucă on Saturday, in front of the representatives of the PNL Women’s Organization, according to news.ro.
Ciucă also said that these are lessons “identified”no “learned”.
“There are issues that, as I said, we learned, they are lessons learned. I would better call them identified lessons, because they are learned after you put the identified one into practice. We, for now, have only identified them”, stated the PNL candidate in the presidential elections.
