Teo Trandafir, one of the most loved TV stars in Romania, spoke on Anamariea Prodan’s podcast about the publicized divorce she went through and what hurt her the most when the media started writing about the separation of the two.
The famous TV presenter spoke openly about the almost two-year love story with her second husband – Constantin Iosef – and about their marriage (officiated in 2012) that lasted only six months.
Teo Trandafir said that her husband was unable to settle in Romania after living in France for three decades.
“It closed beautifully and elegantly. I realized that after almost 30 years in France, my husband was not happy here and I could not be a direct participant in his unhappiness. What could I do, change Romania? He came with openness, with enthusiasm – we break the clouds, we do, we straighten! And I didn’t break them, because people were what they were. And one day, I asked him if there was anything I could do to help him, and he said he wanted to be alone. And so it’s over”, testified Teo Trandafir.

“That’s what bothered me”
The star who influenced entertainment in Romania also spoke about what hurt her the most in the way the separation she went through was reported (in the press.
“Of course the press started howling, making him a pig’s bed. That he wanted to take the money, sell the houses, the assets. You know what bothered me the most? Not that it was untrue, because he was also suffering, but that I felt unwanted. So a man can only love me for money. It was clear that if he took this, why would he take it? That she is beautiful? Not! I didn’t even pretend. That she’s smart? That’s what I would have claimed, periodically. So (I was presented as) the last man, who has some money. That’s the only thing that bothered me”, said Teo Trandafir in the Eu sunt Anamaria Prodan podcast.
The star confessed that she still keeps in touch with her ex-husband.
“Friends, that’s a lot to say, because we live in different countries. He is the only man in my life with whom I broke up and with whom, also thanks to him, I communicate (…). If you love someone, set them free. Of course, it wasn’t easy,” said Teo Trandafir.
