A Romanian family that spent several days in Great Britain stayed at a 4-star hotel in London, but in the end it turned out to be an uninspired choice. People say they were treated very badly by the hotel staff. It all started, they say, on the fourth night, Friday, when other tourists staying there threw a loud party and wouldn’t let them rest.
“I went to London with my family, I wanted to see this city for many years. It fascinated me as Paris and Rome have fascinated me since childhood. All three are gorgeous cities. Unable to get any shut-eye from the revelers, he went the next day to report what had happened to reception. But, surprise, the hotel representatives not only didn’t apologize, they took him to heart.
“At night, it was the night from Friday to Saturday, there was some party in the hotel. Loud music, noise, screams, I couldn’t close an eye. Upset, I went the next day to file a complaint, but had an unpleasant surprise. At the reception I was told that probably me I’m the one who made the noise in the hotel and they lied to me saying that if there was any noise it was from a club down the street where there was indeed a lot of commotion. They took me for a fool and told me to close the window in the evening because there is night life in London, not like where I come from. All in an unnatural tone, I would say, as if I were the one who had made a fuss all night. It seemed strange to me, probably even in the nicest guesthouse you wouldn’t expect to be treated like that. They basically lied to my face, made me out to be a liar and accused me of being the loud one. Incredible!”he continued.
Also then, he asked if he could give up the last two nights of accommodation and get the money back, but the answer was no.
“I can say again that I did not expect this. We had thought to leave there, and with the money for the last two nights to stay somewhere else. But it was not possible, we could not find an understanding“, the man also said.
If the hotel experience was unpleasant, London impressed the two. “It’s a beautiful city. It doesn’t have the magic and charm of Paris, or the history of Rome or the vastness of New York, but it has its own charm. Beautiful historic buildings, a diverse world, luxury at every turn, this is how I would describe London. And we will definitely get there again, because during this time, in just one week, that is, in a few days, six in number, we really didn’t manage to visit everything we set out to do. But it is also certain that we will not set foot in that hotel again. Not even if he’s the only one left there.” added the Romanian.
