David Popovici dropped out of the Faculty of Psychology. What field did the Olympic champion choose to study

David Popovici, champion at the Olympic Games in Paris, resumed his studies, after he had decided to freeze his first year at the Faculty of Psychology, in order to be able to prepare for sports. Now, the 20-year-old swimmer is back in school, but has chosen to transfer to another college.

The winner of the 200 meters event from the Olympics attends the courses of the Faculty of Social Assistance. David Popovici’s decision is related to the fact that he wants to be more actively involved in the community and believes that he can study psychology on his own.

“Regarding college and psychology, in my first year I had to freeze my year to prepare for the Olympics. But this year I’m trying again, having a slightly freer schedule, let’s say. I realized that I can document a lot about psychology on my own, either by reading or, I don’t know, simply by documenting myself. So I chose to transfer to social assistance.

David Popovici is already involved in humanitarian causes

I want to learn as much as I can how I can help and how I can get involved such causes. But it’s not about me, it’s about the good I can do and where does this good go, this good that comes from every viewer, every person who follows the social media accounts and decides to enter the exposed links and donate.

How do I manage to combine this professional life with what I do now? I don’t know, it’s not easy, clearly, but it doesn’t compare to the hardships those children go through. So I consider that I don’t even have the right to complain so much”explained David Popovici, according to Digi24.ro.
