Snagov Palace is an architectural jewel, having been built between 1930 and 1932 at the request of Prince Nicholas, the younger brother of King Charles II. The palace was later expanded in the 1980s by the Ceaușescu family. Over time, Snagov Palace has become a favorite destination for exclusive events, retaining its original charm despite the changes brought about by the communist regime.

It was also the location chosen by Monica Bîrlădeanu and Valeriu Gheorghiță for their big event. The two united their destinies in a fairytale ceremony on Saturday, October 5.

Today, the palace has an official salon with a capacity of 130 people, a spacious terrace overlooking the garden and Snagov Lake, a private pontoon and modern facilities such as a fully equipped kitchen or guest rooms.

Prices range from €5,900 to €6,900 for venue rent, and food menus start at €65 and go up to €90 per person.

Package 1 – Official living room + terrace + pontoon:

Price: €6,200 (VAT included)

Capacity: 130 people in the hall, 300 people on the terrace

Includes access to the pontoon on the shores of Lake Snagov.

Package 2 – Official living room + terrace + pontoon + kitchen:

Price: €6,900 (VAT included)

Includes use of kitchen and refrigerated display cases, space for mounting plates.

Package 3 – Official living room + terrace:

Price: €5,900 (VAT included)

Similar to Package 1 but without pontoon access.

Package 4 – Official living room + terrace + kitchen:

Price: €6,600 (VAT included)

Includes use of kitchen to prepare menus.

Package 5 – Official living room + terrace + bridal suite:

Price: €6,000 (VAT included)

It includes a suite for the newlyweds, consisting of a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.

This package is the most complete, including all facilities available at Snagov Palace.

For example, the €90 menu includes: a welcome package consisting of champagne or prosecco, biscuits, toast.

Cold snack: Foie gras terrine with currants, shrimp with garlic sauce, prosciutto with avocado, quail eggs with roe, salmon carpaccio and other delicacies.

Fish: Fillets of sea bream in a crust of aromatic herbs, with sides of potatoes and julienned vegetables.

Main course: Tenderloin of beef Wellington and confit duck leg, served with duchesse potatoes and sauteed asparagus.

Traditional sarmales: Mix of sarmalutes in vine and cabbage leaves, with polenta and cream.

Drink costs

Beverage package of 50 lei: Includes only water, coffee, cappuccino, tea and Santal juices. This is definitely not a valid one for the wedding, rather it is intended for corporate events.

Those for this type of event are between 40 and 45 euros. €45 open bar menu: Includes a rich selection of drinks, from Chivas Regal and Jack Daniels whiskeys to Chateau Purcari wines and Jidvei sparkling wines. The menu also includes soft drinks, Heineken beer, coffee, water, juices and tea.
