Former journalist Sanda Nicola announced her intention to run for a seat in the Romanian Parliament, after accepting a proposal from the “Romania in Action” organization.

Sanda Nicola: I feel ready to enter the electoral campaign

Sanda Nicola says that she accepted a proposal from the president of the “Romania in action” organization, Mihai Apostolache, to get involved in political life. She stated that, in parallel, she has already started to collaborate with “Mișcarea România Renaște”, which supports the candidacy of Mircea Geoană.

After an absence of five years, during which she lived and worked abroad, Sanda Nicola mentioned that she feels ready for a return to Romania. He described the return as an exciting time, admitting that he didn’t know exactly how he would handle the new situation. She emphasized that the public in Romania knows her as a journalist and that it was a challenge to explain her new skills and goals.

Nicola emphasized that he has long wanted to be more actively involved in the political life of the country.

“I know that the world, the public in Romania, knows me from my position as a journalist, and it seems that it was still a bit difficult to understand what the new skills and objectives are. I wanted it for a long time, I considered this option, I wanted a greater involvement at home. But it was never the right time, this time seems to be okay. I feel ready to enter the electoral campaign. I consider myself an aspiring candidate at the moment, I still don’t know if the candidacy has been validated, I know that I accepted this proposal to enter the electoral competition, now if I will have the chance to do some work, we will see that after December 1Sanda Nicola declared for “Adevărul”.
