PNL leader Nicolae Ciucă announced on Saturday, in a video message, that he will no longer form a coalition with PSD. Tensions between the two coalition partners have intensified recently, with several ironic and aggressive statements being made.

“I personally will never make a coalition with the Social Democratic Party again because I entered politics with an open mind believing that we can do things and I gave credit, including to the Social Democratic Party, going over everything that we remember, what what happened and what they did over time”, transmitted Nicolae Ciucă, on Facebook.
The PNL president accused the PSD of only pursuing its own interests.
“We put our shoulders to do what we had to do for the country because there were and still are particularly difficult moments. But when you don’t take into account anything other than politics and the fulfillment of an electoral objective for me the Social Democratic Party in a future collaborative relationship, it no longer exists.” Ciucă also said.
