Sepsi defeated UTA Arad and tied two consecutive victories. The Covăsnenians came close to only one point from the play-off places

Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe defeated UTA Arad with a score of 1-0, at home, in a match from the 13th stage of the football Superleague. The only goal of the game was scored by Cosmin Matei, in the 44th minute.

The only goal of the match was scored at the end of the first half. Cosmin Matei opened the scoring, in the 44th minute, from inside the box. His goal made the difference between Sepsi and UTA. It was a phase started from a car on the right. A player from Arad rejected, Mino Sota won the ball and sent it into the box, from where Cosmin Matei finished with a shot to the long corner.

In the second part of the game, both teams were looking for a new goal on the scoreboard, but the duel ended with the victory of the Covas residents, score 1-0.

Following this result, Sepsi has accumulated 17 points and is only one point away from the play-off places. On the other hand, UTA Arad is in 9th place in the SuperLiga, with 15 points collected in 13 rounds.

Sepsi OSK achieved its second consecutive victory, after 4-0 with FC Hermannstadt away. UTA was undefeated for four matches (two wins and two draws).
