“First of all, I think I can also speak Romanian to them. I have no problem. I have a reluctance and it’s normal, because I’m not very good at it and I don’t think this is an exercise you want. I have tete-a-tete discussions, I don’t have a conversation problem. I let them know from the beginning that I don’t know very well. I think that the president of the European Commission said to be quiet, that I speak more slowly. But we managed to understand each other very well in half an hour. It was a tete-a-tete. We had the negotiations regarding the future commissioner and I say that those negotiations came out, taking into account the fact that Romania has for the first time a vice-president of the Commission”said Marcel Ciolacu, on Wednesday, at Digi FM.

He declined to describe himself in English: “I don’t feel comfortable and I don’t do it“, said the PSD leader.

Marcel Ciolacu admitted that he has reservations in foreign relations because of the language and still works with English and economics teachers.

“It’s everyone’s fight with him, to be better every day”Ciolacu said.
