Craiova shaken: Adrian Mititelu, record suspension after entering the field and attacking the referee

The owner of the FCU Craiova team, Adrian Mititelu, was suspended, on Monday, by the Disciplinary Commission of the Romanian Football Federation, which cut to the chase in this case!

Mititelu was suspended for six games for the vehement protest at the match with Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ, from the II League, according to Agerpres. ”Pursuant to art. 83.7 of the RD of the FRF, the club FCU 1948 Craiova Fotbal Club SA is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 10,000 lei. Pursuant to art. 65.a with the application of art. 111 of the RD of the FRF, Mititelu Adrian Marin is sanctioned with a suspension of 6 (six) games and a sports penalty of 5,000 lei. Pursuant to art. 78.a from the RD of the FRF, the club ACSM Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 570 lei“, it is stated in the commission’s decision.

On November 2, in the 12th round of the second league, Mititelu entered the field and protested to the referees, threatening to remove his team from the field. Ceahlăul prevailed with a score of 4-2, after scoring twice in the last ten minutes.

In another case, the Discipline and Ethics Commission admitted the notification of the AFC UTA Arad club, so that FC Voluntari will have to pay almost 70,000 lei.

Pursuant to art. 30.13 of ROAF and art. 86.4.1 of the Rd of the FRF, obliging the defendant club FC Voluntari to pay the sum of 57,110.66 lei representing 50% of the expenses of organizing the game from stage 3, Gupa D, Romanian Cup, 2023-2024 edition, between AFC UTA Arad and FC Voluntari and the sum of 5,500 lei court costs-procedure fee and lawyer’s fee 5,000 lei“, states the FRF press release.
