The world number two beat third-ranked Alcaraz 7-6 (7/5), 6-4 in Turin in their final Group C matchJohn Newcombe“, according to Agerpres.
After achieving three victories, the German tennis player will face American Taylor Fritz, ranked second in Group “Ilie Năstase“. Zverev won the Champions Tour twice, in 2018 and 2021.
The last player qualified in the semi-finals will be decided after the match between the Russian Andrei Rublev and the Norwegian Casper Ruud. Rublev has lost both matches played so far, and Ruud has one win and one loss.
