Former One Direction band members reunited for Liam Payne’s funeral

The former members of the band One Direction attended the funeral of their former bandmate Liam Payne on Wednesday, a month after he died, falling from the balcony of a room on the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

The family, her relatives, but also the former members of the band One Direction gathered on Wednesday to attend the service at the “St. Mary” from Amersham, a small town northwest of London, where the funeral took place.

Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan were all in attendance at Payne’s funeral. As well as the girlfriend of the former Oane Direction soloist, Kate Cassidy.

We remind you that Liam Payne died on October 16, when his lifeless body was discovered in the courtyard of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after falling from the balcony of a room on the third floor. The autopsy determined that the artist had alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his system. As part of the investigation that was launched in this case, three people face various preliminary charges for crimes related to his death, according to CNN.

Over time, the musician has spoken publicly about his problems with substance abuse and his mental health. In the summer of 2023, he said he had completed six months of abstinence after completing treatment at a US facility. Later that year, he postponed his tour after suffering a kidney infection.

The artist rose to global fame as part of One Direction, the group that was created on the British talent show “The X Factor” in 2010. In 2016, the group disbanded and he and his former bandmates pursued solo careers .

Malik, Styles, Horan and Tomlinson said they were simply devastated by the death of their former colleague and friend, sending a joint message on Instagram.

“We will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, whom we loved very much. The memories we shared with him will be cherished forever. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam”, Malik, Styles, Horan and Tomlinson posted on social media.
