She had a sincere friendship with Gabriel Cotabița, which spanned decades of career.
“He was my only friend among all my colleagues! I don’t understand what happened… I don’t feel like living anymore. My love for him as a man was immense. He used to come to pick me up by car to go to dinner with them, ever since my mother was alive.
