Two men charged in connection with the stabbing of a journalist on Queensmere Road, Wimbledon, on March 29 have arrived in the UK on a flight from Romania.

The pair were arrested on December 17 at Heathrow Airport and met by officers from the Met’s Counter-Terrorism Command, which is leading the investigation into the attack, writes mynewsdesk.com.
Both men have been remanded in police custody and are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on December 18.
Romanian nationals Nandito Badea, 19, and George Stana, 23, were charged with wounding and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The two men were previously detained by the Romanian authorities on December 4. They were brought back to the UK from Romania by specialist officers of the National Extradition Unit of the NCA’s Joint International Crime Centre.
“This was it a long-term investigation and I am glad that we have reached a point where two men have now been charged and will be prosecuted here in the UK. I would like to thank our Romanian counterparts for their cooperation in this matter, as well as colleagues from CPS and NCA who helped us to we come to this point. Now that criminal proceedings are fully underway here in the UK, I would still ask people not to speculate about the case or motive so that the criminal justice process can take its course.”
