Traffic will be allowed in both directions, on the Friendship Bridge, during the winter holidays

Between December 20, 2024 and January 7, 2025, traffic on the Danube Bridge will be temporarily reorganized, and traffic will be allowed in both directions, to streamline traffic during the holidays.

“The Giurgiu Border Police Territorial Inspectorate was informed by the Giurgiu-Russian Joint Contact Center, Bulgaria, regarding the fact that, on December 20, 2024, starting at 1:00 p.m., traffic will be opened for vehicles on the renovated right lane, with a total length of 413 meters, in the direction of entry into the Republic of Bulgaria, on the Bulgarian sector of the Friendship Bridge from Ruse-Giurgiuat the same time, for streamlining the traffic during the winter holidays, between December 20, 2024 and January 7, 2025, traffic on the bridge will be temporarily reorganized, and traffic will be allowed in both directions”according to a press release of ITPF Giurgiu on Thursday, writes Agerpres.

Also, starting from January 8, 2025, the partial closure of the left lane, with a total length of 413 meters, on the exit direction from the Republic of Bulgaria, on the Bulgarian sector of the Friendship Bridge from Ruse-Giurgiu, is expected.
