Gabi Balint’s father, the one who, for the love of football, baptized his son with the name of Pele, died this night. “Dad went to heaven last night. The memories remain alive in my soul. God rest you, father!”the former great striker wrote on Facebook.
The former great striker told Adevărul how he chose the name Pele, but also how this motivated him in his career: “He told me that primarily because he was a footballer at the time and because he was in love with Pelé, although he had not seen him play, but had only listened to news about him on the radio or matches from the 1958 World Cup, when he he debuted at the age of 17 and Brazil became world champions for the first time. Dad really wanted a boy named after the greatest football player of that time. It was a great happiness. He stopped thinking and did what he set out to do, he called me Pelé”.
Florin Răducioiu lost his father-in-law
Two days before, Florin Răducioiu had lost his father-in-law. very affected by the death of his father-in-law, he posted a message on social networks. “God rest in peace, my dear father-in-law David! You will always remain in our memory”the former international also wrote on Instagram, receiving virtual condolences from a lot of his fans.
