The Illinois home was listed for sale in May for $5,250,000, and now the ad lists “sale in progress”.
On Coldwell Banker Realty’s website, where the property was listed, the five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion is described as a “legendary holiday home reimagined for today’s luxury”.
“Full of warmth, character and painstakingly crafted details”, the 848 square meter mansion, built in 1921, was completely renovated in 2018. The entrance hall, main staircase, dining room and living room were kept exactly as they were, in form and structure.
A bright family room is a recent addition, and the mansion also includes a kitchen with two islands, a wood-burning fireplace, a three-car garage and a deck that leads to a backyard.
Upstairs, the master suite features a fireplace, walk-in closet and marble spa bath. The house also has a fully equipped gym and a cinema room. In addition, this Georgian mansion also includes an indoor sports court.
There seems to be a lot of interest in this home, located in the Winnetka area of Chicago – but not all of those interested are potential buyers, as the ad has been viewed more than 70,000 times.
