Jakub Jankto, 28, posted a photo on Instagram of himself kissing his boyfriend next to a decorated Christmas tree, with the Cagliari Czech footballer becoming the first active player to come out as gay.

“I want to live my life in freedom too. No fears. No prejudice. No violence. But with love. I’m gay and I don’t want to hide anymore“, was the forceful message the Czech posted on social media when he admitted he was gay.
Today, he kept reiterating his love with another Instagram post in which he shares a kiss with his partner. A very simple love message wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Last April, in an interview given to the French publication “France Football”, he pointed to the situation, which in his opinion was still far from normal: “I am neither another player nor another person, even though I am no longer in hiding. There are other homosexuals in football, I don’t care how many, but I tell them not to be afraid to come out publicly, because nothing happens after thatJankto transmitted.
