The president of USR, Elena Lasconi, sent a message at midnight on New Year’s Eve, warning that Romanians are in for “a difficult year”.

Elena Lasconi, president of USR, sent a message to Romanians on her Facebook page for the coming new year.

“I wish 2025 to be, above all, a peaceful year, in which we manage to build, not repair. I ended a very difficult year, but I stayed on my feet. A difficult year awaits us, but if we are united, calm and look at reality as it is, not as some want to present it to us, we will overcome any obstacle”writes Elena Lasconi on her Facebook page.

The USR leader hopes that 2025 will be a year of honesty and transparency. “May it be the year in which we manage to change for good the way we do politics in Romania. Happy birthday, darlings!” Elena Lasconi concludes her New Year’s Eve message.
