The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), which states that oversized shipments (those exceeding the specified size and tonnage) will not be able to cross the bridge. According to the MAE, the road segment under current repair, located on the Bulgarian side of the bridge, limits the size of the trucks that can cross due to the presence of reinforced concrete direction delimiters.
“We recommend it to transit drivers Danube Bridge I Giurgiu – Ruse to comply with the admissibility parameters of trucks and the speed restriction imposed at 20 km/h for all categories of vehicles”, shows the cited source.
