The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emil Hurezeanu, had, on Sunday, an exchange of views with his Qatari counterpart, on the situation in the Middle East, in the context of the Israel-Hamas armistice that has just entered into force.

“Good exchange of views today with His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Qatar, focused on the situation in the Middle East in the context of the ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages. We agreed to continue our exchanges and good cooperation”, write on account X of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which Al-Khulaifi heads, is responsible for managing Qatar’s international relations, mediating conflicts and promoting the state’s strategic interests on the global stage.
Before serving as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi was Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs and held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Law at Qatar University.
Al-Khulaifi has extensive academic and professional experience in the field of law, with master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of California.
We recall that the cease-fire in Gaza came into force at 11:15 on Sunday, with the ceasefire being delayed by almost three hours after Hamas said there had been a delay “TECHNICAL” in transmitting to Israel the names of the hostages who were to be released on Sunday.
