When asked, on Sunday evening, in the Briefing show, on Digi24, about Marcel Ciolacu’s threat regarding his exclusion from the party, in the situation in which he would run for the presidency, the current deputy from Dâmbovița of the PSD answered:
“Well, Marcel Ciolacu is right to exclude me, because he has an obligation towards the PNL. PSD, from my point of view, did very well, took the position of prime minister. The PNL will propose the common candidate of the coalition, whether it is Crin Antonescu or someone else is the business of the PNL and the UDMR”.
“Victor Ponta, about a possible presidential candidacy: We’ll see when the process starts”
Asked if he would enter the presidential race, Victor Ponta does not rule out the possibility of submitting a candidacy, after stating that among those who have already announced themselves as candidates, he has no one to vote with.
“I don’t see with whom. (…) Maybe other candidates will appear or maybe I will run myself. We’ll see when the process starts. I am not a professional candidate“, Ponta said.
