The businessman Gigi Becali, 66 years old, is known as an opponent not only of drugs, but also strongly opposes the consumption of alcohol.
If Donald Trump, 79, rejects the drink after a family tragedy, the death of his brother, Fred Trump Jr., who died at the age of 43, the FCSB boss claims that he had an unpleasant experience just a few months ago.
“My parents met in Banat, my mother was young. From Banat, they deported us to Galați. They put them on trains. From Galati, to Brăila, then Zagna, where I was born. And when I came to Bucharest I was 9 months old. I was Tase’s number 1 boy in the whole community. He took a cup and left it on the table, because he fell asleep. I drank the whole cup of wine, a liter of wine, and I went into a coma. The whole commune started to cry because Tase’s boy was dying. The rescue came, saw that I was drunk (not the doctor), gave me an injection and said: ‘There’s nothing wrong with it’. Since then, goodbye, I can’t stand the drink anymore. I can’t stand alcohol, if I got drunk when I was little…I told you the whole story”commented Gigi Becali, informs fanatik.ro.
How the Becali family arrived in Bărăgan
“Adevărul” wrote extensively about the fact that the Becali family was deported from Bărăgan. In 1952, the name Becali was mixed among the 12,971 families, equivalent to 40,320 people aged up to 90, living in 258 localities located near the border with Yugoslavia.
By order of the state leadership at that time, they were all taken upstairs and made to endure the drama of deportation to the Bărăganu plain. It was a mass action of the communist regime, which consisted in the relocation of the population from the border with Yugoslavia, Timiș, Caraș-Severin and Mehedinți counties, as a result of the conflict that broke out between Joseph Stalin and the communist leader from Belgrade, Iosp Broz Tito.
This was followed by the sentencing of citizens considered by the regime to be “enemies” to hard labor. On Pentecost, people were loaded into freight wagons intended for cattle and taken by force to the Bărăganu fire pit.
18 villages were born, after they were given a piece of land, each with two doors and two windows. People built adobe houses, basically thatched huts, and were forced to work on farms. The Becali family, Gigi’s parents, lived there. After the release from the camp, before arriving in Pipera, the Becali family moved to Zagna Vădeni, where Gigi Becali was born on June 25, 1958.
