A company in Bucharest that published an IT employment announcement, as a “Senior Stack Developer” (full -time senior programmer) has sparked a lot of controversies among those working in the information technology industry.
The employer offers a monthly salary of up to 14,000 lei or up to 250 euros, gross, but one of the conditions set was that the applicants for the workplace have at least eight years in the field. At such a requirement, some of the programmers claim that the salary that the company offers is too low.
“I want to know if I have a fool or it is unreal to offer 14,000 net lei or 250 euros per day at a position that requires at least eight years of experience. I at four years of experience I have 225 euros per day and I find it super little for someone with double experience to me to earn only with 25 euros ”, It complains an IT-ist, on the Reddit platform.
IT-experienced ITs say that wages have not increased
Someone will be desperate enough to accept such an offer, another Romanian believes.
“The amount itself for seniors and the necessary skills is small and point. Of course, the situation in the market is something else, but here it is strictly amount. Remember what the amounts were a few years ago and what is the cost of living in the collective memory. “What I do not understand these companies that hunt offers, is that the programmer, once he hears a better offer, will leave elsewhere. And the negotiation of the type: – let’s give you 25 percent more to the salary, but stay with us – it doesn’t always work ”he believes.

The message of a doctor: “Do not realize how lucky you are”
However, a Romanian doctor sent to those who consider such a low salary for their needs that they should feel lucky.
“Well, boys, I am a primary physician in the state and I have 8,600 net lei, after staying for five years with 6,700 lei. I fired six years in the faculty, five years in residency, I fired two and a half years in parallel with the work of a specialist doctor to do the second specialization and I have five years specialist, mayor, for half a year. I have no guards, the post is in the polyclinic, but when I call my colleagues in the guard room (every two hours on average, unpaid, of course). And these are the money, that in private no more when I work after leaving six in the evening that I had 25 – 30 patients a day. You do not realize how lucky you are ”the IT doctor told them to dissatisfied.
A programmer claims that he is among the lucky ones, because he has chosen a well -paid area and tried to improve.
“I agree that it is incorrect for someone in IT to be better paid than a doctor, but just as incorrect is that I had more paid managers who were in coffee when I worked or are influences that one day I do in a month.”he says.
Another one told the doctor not to complain, because he could earn 7,000 – 8,000 euros monthly and that the doctors “work in the state, and IT in general, in private”.
It is so easy in IT to believe that everything that is coming has been through hard work, when it is actually a privileged field, says another Romanian.
“Becoming a doctor is ten times more demanding than putting buttons in an HTML. I worked from the first year of college in IT, but it was not a weight. Stay in a clean, hot and cold summer office in summer, surrounded by people who, most of them have money. You are not at any fast food in exchange three ”he says.
