Former President Traian Basescu said on Sunday, April 6, that Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu has usurped the duties of the president of the country by sending emissaries to the United States.

Asked, at B1 TV, what he thinks about the emissaries sent by Prime Minister Marcel Colacu in the USA, the former head of state said: “It is obvious that we have a prime minister who poorly understands and it is very difficult to learn, although he has been prime minister for about three years. How can you compromise the country to such an extent to announce that you send some emissaries to facilitate Romania’s access to the White House?! So humility greater than that could not be brought by a prime minister”.
Basescu also stated that Ciolacu Uzurpă the duties of the interim president, Ilie Bolojan, because the foreign policy falls within his duties.
