Remain with the party and people. The Court of Accounts is not my way. My priority is to prepare the generation that comes – one of serious people, with conscience, well trained and respect for political work and for Romanians. In the last days, all kinds of speculation appeared about a possible departure of mine at the Court of Accounts. I want to be very clear: I have not asked for and I have not accepted any function. The Court of Accounts is not my way. I am and stay here, close to the party, close to my team, close to people. But I feel and believe with all the responsibility that we have to bend more and more on the future. The young generation that comes must be made up of serious people. Well -trained people who understand what political work means and who have respect for those they represent”, Stated Stanescu, in a public statement posted on the Facebook page of the PSD.

Stanescu admitted that, at one point, he will take a step in the back, but he thinks that the advice of the experienced ones remains essential.

The future of the party depends on how well we grow those who come. It depends on how much we invest in their character, competence and responsibility. For me, the biggest thanks will be to leave behind a serious, capable team, who knows what to do and who always stays close to people. The advice of the experienced ones remains essential. It is the balance of balance. It does not mean controlling, it means being close, guiding and arguing when needed. I do not leave, but I know that the time will come when I will take a step back. Not from weakness, but out of respect for the future and for those who have to carry on our work. I thank everyone who trusted me to ask me directly and did not believe any rumor. I’m here. I stay close. And I will continue to support, build and carry on what I learned. The future must be on good hands”, Concluded Stănescu.
