In addition to the return of Ludovic Orban to PNL, political sources claim that there is also a fusion of the formation with the right force, a party led by the former liberal. Also, considering the appointment of Dragoș Pîslaru, the co -president of Reper, at the head of the Ministry of Investments and European projects, another plan is the merger with this political party.
According to the sources Adevărul, they would also be liberals who oppose the return of Ludovic Orban to the party.
Ludovic Orban left PNL after losing the internal elections against Florin Cîțu, in September 2021. After several contrary to the leadership of the party at that time, Orban left the formation, setting up the strength of the right, along with several members who remained loyal, including parliamentarians.
Since then, PNL has changed 3 times the party leader, the last, Ilie Bolojan, to receive the vote in the Congress on July 12. With Ilie Bolojan at the head of the government and the party, the liberals enter into a large reform process, from changing the management of the formation to the modification of the doctrine. Among the new rules imposed there are measures for the economic recovery of the party, which has been in debt after the last election year. An allowance per year of the elected officials would reach the party.
