The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, said on Sunday, July 6, that if the future integrated health insurance platform (Pias) will not be implemented until December 2026, the final term of commissioning, will resign from the position of minister.

The integrated health insurance platform represents the most important component assumed by the Ministry of Health regarding the digitization projects carried out through the National Plan of Redress and Resility, writes News.ro.
The financing contract for the creation of Pias was signed in the summer of 2023, and the minister claims that “things are good” in terms of implementation.
“I, at the investigation in the position of minister, was asked by a parliamentary colleague if I resign if this system is not done. And here I tell you yes, I resign if the computer system of the National Health Insurance House is not done. Because this would be a failure of all. December 2026 is the final term of commissioning“, Stated Alexandru Rogobete on Sunday, in a show at Digi 24.
Alexandru Rogobete showed that in terms of platform, there is a stage, and the final functional form of the system is December 2026.
“In the end we have a platform, first of all a new platform of the card system and a new platform of the system that monitors medical services in the hospital. It follows the CNP better, the patient’s path, it follows the doctor’s path from one health unit to another, it comes with the electronic file in the end, it is integrated at the same auction, at the same price, they are all integrated.
It comes with the electronic prescription and comes with a module for the patient, the patient can access certain medical data, the medical history and so on, from a platform, both on the web platform and in the mobile platform, on the mobile phone ””explained the minister.
According to him, regarding the future health card, there are several variants, from accessing with QR code to integration into the identity card.
