After taking several specialists from Openai, the company led by Mark Zuckerberg seems to have gone to Apple.
Ruoming Pang was in charge of the department responsible for training the linguistic models developed by Apple, which are the basis of the Apple Intelligence suite and other facilities of the AI Apple devices.
Although Apple has so far failed to develop OPERAI or Google AI solutions, Pang comes to Meta with small models, which run locally on the devices on which they are installed.
Several AI specialists would pass from Apple to Meta
According to sources quoted by Bloomberg, Pang’s departure could only be the first of a longer series of specialists who will move from Apple to Meta.
Meta has managed to attract several artificial intelligence specialists in recent weeks, who have offered very large wage bonuses.
