The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, had a Thursday, August 7, a meeting with the prime minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko during a visit to Kiev. Romania and the Romanian companies were invited to participate in the process of reconstruction of Ukraine.

The meeting was an opportunity for transmitting a strong signal regarding the common interest for peace in the region, European integration and the development of common projects for the future, according to a statement sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussion focused on cooperation in the economic field, including the defense industry, as well as on priorities in terms of connectivity.

“The dialogue was the common interest in continuing the practice of common government meetings, given their usefulness in deepening the dialogue in various fields and in pushing sectoral cooperation. The importance of interconnelation has been emphasized, including in the context of the Ukraine reconstruction process.I ”, the statement said.

Oana Țoiu invoked the significant investments made by Romania in cross -border projects

Oana Țoiu and Yulia SvyryDenko reviewed the progress made in several projects, such as the bridge under construction over the Tisa river.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister invited Romania and the Romanian companies to participate in the Ukraine’s reconstruction process and to make investments in this country.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu has reminded the constant support granted by Romania to the European path of Ukraine and the availability to share from its own experience. He highlighted, in this context, the importance of continuing the reform processes.
