The coach of the Transylvanians vehemently protested, following a controversial phase, where CFR Cluj should have benefited from a penalty, for a hen in the box. The hand of the Craiovans player was glued to the body, and the central allowed the game to continue.
Dissatisfied that the referee did not resort to the consultation of Var, Dan Petrescu left the technical space, entered the field and swore in a goal way. It was hardly calmed by staff members, being eliminated in the 89th minute.
Currently, the disciplinary commission of the Romanian Football Federation has decided to suspend the technician for a period of three stages and received a fine of 5000 lei.
According to the disciplinary regulation, the use of a language or offensive, insulting or coarse gestures is sanctioned with suspension from 2 to 3 games. Therefore, Dan Petrescu was applied to the maximum punishment and will not be on the CFR technical bench, in the following parties with FC Botosani, Steel and FCSB.
“Receive others the same sanctions!”
The president of CFR Cluj said that Dan Petrescu did not address the direct insults, mentioning that the inadequate expressions were used only after eliminating it, which can be confirmed by the television resumptions.
“It is difficult for me to comment on the decisions of the disciplinary committees. Those who are wrong is normal to be sanctioned. If it is much or little, I keep this opinion for me. But the idea is to be consistent, to receive the same sanctions.
From what I understood, Dan Petrescu did not use those words until it was eliminated and they were not directed to the referees. It is not written in the report, depending on what you can see on TV, later. The referee must note what heard not what is discovered a few hours away. I don’t know what he wrote in the report. I do not know details! ”said Cristi Balaj, according to Fanatik.
