Țiriac, betrayed? An Olympic champion has put up for sale the car received from the businessman

Last year, after the completion of the Olympic Games, the Romanian medals received a car from Ion Țiriac. The champions were rewarded with Hyundai Ioniq 5 (worth 52,500 euros), those who took the silver were chosen with a Hyundai Kona (25,500 euros), and the bronze medals received a Hyundai Bayon (20,000 euros) from the Romanian billionaire.

Even though some of them chose not to use the cars, the case of David Popovici, our athletes kept their cars as a trophy, especially since they are personalized with the mosaic of the Olympic games, the winner’s name and the won medal. But Andrei Cornea, the booting champion, decided to alienate the car, putting it for sale on a specialized site.

Because he won the gold in double rowing (along with Marian Enache), Andrei Cornea was rewarded by Ion Tiriac with a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric, a car whose price amounts to 52,500 euros, writes gsp.ro. One year after receiving the car, Andrei Cornea decided to put it for sale, at the price of 38,000 euros, considering that it has 29,000 km on board in a year. The car has 325 horsepower and an autonomy of 519 km.
