“The opposition has tried to transform the reform into health into a populist and demagogic discourse. I choose to tell the truth: the package 2 for health does not mean austerity, but efficiency. It does not mean cutting, but the correct resistance of the resources. It does not mean a loss, but the chance to build a system that puts the patient in the first place.
For years, patients have been walking between offices, diagnosed late and let wait. That’s what we change. We introduce clear routes, simple rules and fast solutions. The first investigation is done immediately, the others – if necessary – are covered in the national programs. Instead of chaos, we put order. He added: “We have heard the attacks on medicines, about doctors, about prevention. I tell you directly: we extend the list of compensated drugs, we strengthen family medicine and we orientate it to prevention and screening services, we open outpatients until evening, reduce the pressure from emergencies. All so that access is closer to humans, not harder.”
